Ingredients for Pepper Chicken
- 250 g Chicken
- 50 g Shallots (Sambar Onions) chopped
- 1 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
- a pinch Turmeric Powder
- 1/2 tsp Red Chilli Powder
- 1 tsp Black Pepper Powder
- a pinch Garam Masala Powder
- 1 Tomato small, chopped
- handful Coriander Leaves
- handful Curry Leaves
- as per taste Salt
- as required Oil
How to make Pepper Chicken
- Heat oil in a pressure pan over medium flame.
- Saute the onions, tomatoes, curry leaves and ginger garlic paste for a minute or two.
- Add red chilli powder, garam masala powder, turmeric powder and salt.
- Stir to mix well.
- Add chicken pieces and enough water.
- Cover the pan with a lid and pressure cook for 2 whistles or until the chicken is cooked.
- Once the pressure has reduced, remove the lid.
- Add pepper powder, coriander leaves and remove.
- Serve with rice.
